Forbes Ranks Iron Capital Among Top-50 Wealth Managers in U.S.

Dear Clients and Friends,

We’re pleased to share the news that Forbes magazine has ranked Iron Capital among the Top-50 Wealth Managers in the U.S. for 2013. Iron Capital ranks number 33 on the Forbes list, is the only Atlanta-based firm included and one of only four in the entire Southeast to make the list.

As you know, at Iron Capital our core values of independence, trust and service are at the heart of everything we do. Our exclusive focus is on providing objective, exceptional advice and service to our clients. As a result we do not spend significant resources on external marketing or gaming industry rankings, but it is rewarding when a reputable organization such as Forbes independently recognizes our success.

Inclusion on the Forbes list is particularly gratifying as it uniquely includes only pure Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firms. Their methodology employs only “the most relevant ‘true wealth management’ criteria for ranking consideration,” excluding traditional Wall Street brokerages and hybrid RIA firms. Says Forbes:

“The Top 50 Wealth Managers oversee a combined $224 billion in assets. That’s roughly 15% of the entire RIA market…. The continual growth of this segment of the industry is the result of the demand for financial advice, and specifically, the shift to fee-based and fee-only investment advice.… All that growth is coming at the expense of Wall Street’s more traditional brokerage firms.”

We founded Iron Capital nearly 11 years ago with the vision of providing clients with direct access to expert investment counsel, and doing so with trust and service at our core. We are proud to say that describes Iron Capital today, and we’re pleased the industry is following suit. Above all we remain grateful to you, our clients, for trusting Iron Capital.

Warm regards,

Chuck Osborne, CFA
Managing Director
