Chuck Osborne, CFA®, is co-founder and managing director of Iron Capital Advisors and the firm’s chief investment officer. Chuck has more than 30 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to founding Iron Capital, Chuck was the director of investment services at Invesco Retirement Inc., where he was responsible for the investment of more than $34 billion in retirement plan assets. Chuck’s experience also includes positions with Aetna Retirement Services (now Voya) and LOMA, an educational association serving financial services company members worldwide.
Chuck has been published in various industry publications and is often quoted in both industry and national publications, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlanta Business Chronicle and The Wall Street Journal. He also is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Iron Capital is among the top fee-only investment advisory firms in Atlanta as ranked by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and among the top-50 as ranked by Forbes and Investment Planning magazines. The Atlanta Business Chronicle also regularly names Chuck one of Atlanta’s Top 100 “Who’s Who in Finance,” as well as one of Atlanta’s “Power 50” Top Industry Leaders.
Chuck holds a B.A. in Economics from Wake Forest University, is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and a Chartered Financial Consultant, and has earned the right to use the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Chuck also is a member of the CFA Society of Atlanta and the CFA Institute. Chuck and his wife, Frost, live in Atlanta with their two children. Chuck enjoys sailing, golf, and coaching youth basketball and soccer. He founded non-profit One Atlanta Basketball in 2015, has been involved with The Culver Academies as a member of the Culver Legion Board and the Georgia Culver Club, and is also active with Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and Atlanta Classical Academy.
